ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The United States Marshals Service has joined forces with local law enforcement agencies in a two-day coordinated fugitive roundup. The operation aims to bring in some of the area’s top offenders.
Working in collaboration, the Marshals and law enforcement officers successfully arrested James Edwin Echard Jr. on charges of felonious assault and parole violations. Echard Jr. was taken into custody on Thursday. The number of arrests made have not been officially released at this time.
The US Marshals Service offers its expertise and fugitive recovery services to agencies upon request. Their assistance has been instrumental in capturing many dangerous criminals over the years.
The joint effort between the Marshals and local law enforcement is ongoing, and they will continue to work to bring in some of the areas most dangerous criminals.
