FAYETTE COUNTY, Ohio — The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic crash that happened on Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Route 22 and Jamison Rd. The accident was reported at 3:23 pm and involved a 2019 Ford F-350 truck with a livestock trailer, driven by Meghan O’Reilly, and a 2018 Kia Sorento driven by Courtany Graves. O’Reilly, who was traveling north, pulled into the path of Graves’ vehicle, resulting in a collision. O’Reilly’s vehicle continued off the southwest corner of the intersection, hitting a traffic sign and overturning. Graves’ car came to a stop on the south intersection of Jamison Rd.

O’Reilly and a passenger in her vehicle sustained minor injuries and received treatment at the scene by EMS. Graves and a front-seat passenger suffered serious injuries and were airlifted from the crash site to hospitals in the Columbus area for medical treatment. Three children in the Graves’ vehicle were also transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital to be treated for their injuries

Two sheep were being transported in the livestock trailer at the time of the accident, but they were not injured. The animals were taken out of the trailer by fire personnel and transported to a nearby farm for temporary boarding. Both vehicles were heavily damaged in the crash and were towed away from the scene.
