ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Transportation—District 9’s Planning Department is seeking public input for a bridge replacement project on Dry Run Road in Ross County. The proposed project aims to rehabilitate the bridge on CR 223 (Dry Run Rd.) in Springfield Township between Lick Run and Graves Road.
According to the project details, the bridge replacement will not require the acquisition of a new right-of-way. However, it is important to note that the roadway will be closed for the duration of the project. The specific detour route will be determined at a later date.
Funding for the project is set at 80% Federal and 20% Local, ensuring a collaborative effort in its implementation. The environmental commitment date has been scheduled for July 1, 2023, while the project itself is expected to be awarded on August 2, 2023.
To encourage public participation, written comments are invited and should be submitted by June 30. Individuals can send their comments to Brandon Beck, ODOT District 9 Environmental Supervisor, located at 650 Eastern Avenue, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601. Alternatively, comments can be emailed to [email protected].
