ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Ross County Sheriff’s Office says they are upgrading their 911 Emergency Phone System.
According to Sheriff George Lavender, the county will begin the upgrade starting at 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
Residents, according to the Sheriff, will still be able to call 911 with all calls being routed to another number with the Sheriff’s Office. Those individuals who call from within the city of Chillicothe will have their number first routed to the sheriff’s office and then to the Chillicothe Police Department.
Sheriff Lavender stated that if anyone has problems with the 911 system during this time period, they can call the Sheriff’s Office number at 740-773-1185 or the Chillicothe Police Department at 740-773-1191.
The upgrade is expected to be completed by the end of the day on Tuesday.
