CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A Chillicothe man told police he was shot while walking in the east end.
According to the Chillicothe Police Department, the incident happened during the early morning hours on Thursday.
Around 2 a.m. on Thursday, officers were dispatched to Adena Regional Medical Center after a person arrived at the ER with a bullet hole in their leg.
The victim told police he was walking in the area of Akron Street when two men tried to rob him. The victim fought back and took off running. While fleeing, the man said, one of the assailants shot him, striking him in the leg.
The shooter is described as “6′ 0” to 6′ 1” inches tall. The male was skinny and was wearing a gray sweatshirt with white writing. The male also had blue jeans on and had a revolver.“
The second suspect is described as shorter, about 5′ 7” to 5′ 8”, and medium in size. He was wearing a white tshirt and dark shorts.
The victim, officials said, refused to cooperate with the investigation.
