HIGHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — The Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon in Highland County. The incident transpired around 4:32 p.m. on Greenbush Road near Sicily Road in Clay Township, resulting in one death and serious injuries.
According to preliminary findings, Joshua Graham, 41, and Kristy Sult, 38, both residents of New Richmond, were traveling northeast on a 2006 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic motorcycle on Greenbush Road. While negotiating a curve, the motorcycle veered off the right side of the road, colliding with a culvert and a utility pole.
Graham tragically died on the scene from his injuries. Sult was critically injured in the accident and had to be airlifted to the U.C. Medical Center for urgent medical treatment.
Local authorities, including the Highland County Coroner’s Office, Sardinia Fire Department, and Emergency Medical Service, responded swiftly to the incident, providing much-needed assistance at the accident site.
As of now, the cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Any potential contributing factors, such as speed, alcohol, or environmental conditions, have yet to be determined.
