ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A squealing scene of pandemonium unfolded in the vicinity of route 35 and Richmond Dale as pigs took to the skies. Startling reports received by the Ohio Highway Patrol alerted authorities to an unbelievable event: pigs soaring out of a trailer in the westbound lane, turning the highway into a hazard on Wednesday.

Eyewitness accounts said the pigs were scattered along the roadway, spanning several miles before the driver purportedly became aware of the astonishing occurrence.
Law enforcement has confirmed that several pigs were killed in the incident.
“It was like a real-life game of ‘Angry Pigs’,” said one motorist, referencing the popular mobile game. The situation did not cause serious traffic delays, but motorists were generally shocked at the sight of deceased pigs along the highway.
“You really don’t expect a piggy pile-up on your way to work,” said a local resident.
One motorist who was pulling a box trailer hit one of the pigs in the highway and caused severe damage to their trailer. Traffic was not severely impacted otherwise and the dead pigs were moved out of the roadway to the shoulder.
