CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A Chillicothe man is in jail today charged with gross sexual imposition after allegedly attacking a woman. On July 13, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East Second Street in response to the incident.

Upon arrival, law enforcement officers made contact with two individuals who provided their accounts of the events. The victim stated that she had asked Clyde Hall, Jr. for a loan to pay her phone bill, which he agreed to provide. The woman recounted that after accompanying Hall to Walmart, she requested the agreed-upon amount, but Hall reportedly responded inappropriately and engaged in non-consensual sexual contact. The victim stated in her statement that Hall said, “Nothing is free,” first demanding a sexual encounter. When the victim reportedly refused, Hall allegedly attacked her. The victim managed to free herself and get away.

Officers proceeded to a different address to locate Hall. He was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Ross County Jail on a warrant out of Pike County and new charges of gross sexual imposition (GSI). He is being held on no bond until his court hearing today.
