CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A woman was arrested on July 16th after attempting to evade police on a bicycle.
Officers patrolled East 2nd Street around the Valero gas station when they saw Angela Graves, who had active warrants for her arrest. Graves, officers stated, fled the area on a bicycle, but officers were able to catch up to her.
Graves, the officers said, tried to block her face with her hand so that the officer would not recognize her, but he was able to identify her and order her to stop. Graves refused to listen, the report said and continued to pedal her bicycle away from the officer.
One Chillicothe police officer exited his patrol cruiser and ran after Graves, who wrecked her bicycle in the Valero parking lot. The officer placed Graves under arrest for two Chillicothe Police Department warrants, as well as obstructing official business.
Graves was transported to the Ross County Jail, where she was booked on warrants for theft and drug instrument possession.
