CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A man says he was assaulted by four juveniles at Poland Park in Chillicothe on Wednesday.

The victim in this case told police he was charging his phone at the shelter when one of the juveniles tried to take his charger. He told police that he got his charger back and left the park before anything more serious happened.

As the man was walking on Hickory Street toward East Main Street, he said, per the report, he was followed by the same juvenile and three other juveniles. One of the males allegedly grabbed the man and tried to wrap a cord around his neck. The man asked the juveniles why they were following him, but they did not answer. One of the females began yelling at the man before they all walked away.

Police patrolled the area but were unable to locate the juveniles. The man was not able to provide a good description of the suspects and did not know their names.

The investigation is ongoing, the Chillicothe Police Department said.
