CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A woman was assaulted at Wendy’s, located at 103 North Bridge Street, on Thursday, according to authorities.

The victim, who has not been identified, told police that she was assaulted by a light-skinned black male with dreadlocks who was wearing a long-sleeved shirt. The suspect is estimated to be in their mid-20s or early 30s.

The victim said she confronted the suspect, urging them to leave the premises. In response, the suspect threw a container of Starbucks Iced Coffee, striking the victim on the left side of the head.

The suspect fled the scene and was last seen behind the Family Dollar store on N. Bridge Street.

An officer at the scene located an individual resembling the suspect’s description nearby. The individual claimed to have just arrived at the fast-food establishment, denying any involvement in the assault.

The victim was provided with a written statement and relevant Victim’s Rights materials. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities intend to examine surveillance footage from the establishment to ascertain the identity of the suspect.
