CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Chillicothe’s Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center is gearing up for its 15th annual Battle of the Bands on Friday, September 8th. This popular event will start at 9:30 a.m. and showcase ten home school bands vying for the trophy and honor of having their name inscribed on it.
This year’s lineup features bands from Adena, Huntington, Southeastern, Chillicothe, Zane Trace, Unioto, Circleville, Westfall, Logan Elm, and Paint Valley. Unioto, the past two-time champions, will be aiming to make a historic 3-peat, but competition looks fierce as each band aims to bring their unique style and energy to their performances.
Director of Secondary Education at Pickaway-Ross CTC, Jason Vesey, said, “We are thrilled to host the 15th Annual Battle of the Bands and provide a platform for these talented home school bands to showcase their musical prowess. This event not only highlights the incredible musical talent within our community but also fosters a sense of camaraderie and friendly competition among the band and our students.”
The event will take place on the main campus of Pickaway-Ross CTC at 895 Crouse Chapel Rd, Chillicothe. The public is welcome to attend, but attendees are encouraged to arrive early and bring their own chairs to ensure seating.
