CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A major highway was closed and then, restricted to one lane after a minor accident Friday night.

It happened on route 35 westbound near Pleasant Valley Road at around 7:30 p.m.

The fender-bender involved three cars that heavily damaged a white Chevy HHR. No serious injuries were reported, however, firefighters closed down the highway.

The decision to close the highway resulted in traffic being backed up for miles.
