CHILLICOTHE, Ohio –– Tractor Supply Company (TSC) located in Chillicothe was burglarized early morning on Thursday with thieves making away with a camouflage Real Tree Go-cart. Law enforcement was first on the scene in response to a burglary alarm indicating motion at the north gate.
Upon inspecting the site, officers discovered that the main gate was intact, but a significant hole had been cut into the rear gate of the establishment. Evidence of a break-in was further noted with cut barb wires on the top of the gate and a pallet that seemed to have been used as an improvised ladder to scale the fence.
Though the culprits had fled the scene by the time deputies arrived, the investigation unveiled a discarded tag for a hand cart. Tire tracks that appeared to match the hand cart’s were also observed leading to a neighboring property, who had cameras.
As the inventory checks proceeded, it became clear that the camo, Real Tree Go-cart was missing. The cart is valued at around $1,200.
The investigation is ongoing. Local residents and businesses are urged to come forward with any information that may assist in solving the case.
