LUCASVILLE, Ohio — Two people were injured in a crash on Route 104.
The Highway Patrol responded to a report of a commercial vehicle versus car crash on State Route 104, located south of the Big Bear Creek Road intersection in Morgan Township.
According to authorities, Robert Cyrus, 47, Lucasville, was south on State Route 104. In a tragic turn of events, David Bender Jr., 25, West Portsmouth, was north on the same route, veered left of center, resulting in a head-on collision with Cyrus.
As a consequence of the impact, Bender, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from his vehicle. He sustained serious injuries and was swiftly transported by AirEvac to Cabell Huntington Hospital for medical attention. On the other hand, Cyrus, though injured, experienced non-life-threatening harm and was taken to Southern Ohio Medical Center by Portsmouth Ambulance.
