St. Paul's Episcopal Church at 33 East Main Street in downtown Chillicothe was packed with participants touring historic churches this past weekend.

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Historic, downtown churches opened their doors to several visitors wanting a look at the architecture and holiday ambiance of the centuries-old, places of worship.

Sidewalks lit with candles led to the open doors of First Wesleyan Church of Chillicothe, Calvary Evangelical Lutheran, Quinn Chapel A.M.E and St. Paul’s Episcopal. Each location shared music and histories of the church from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, December 2nd. Among musical highlights were the handbell performances, Bluegrass music and choir performances.

The Ross/Chillicothe Convention and Visitor’s Bureau hosted the walk as a benefit for the Adena Hospital Foundation, Woman and Children’s fund.
