JACKSON COUNTY, Ohio — In a recent law enforcement action against child predators, a man from Ross County, has been apprehended and charged with child sex crimes for attempting to engage in sexual activities with an underage child in West Virginia.
Dustin Anderson, 25, a resident of Stoutsville, OH, faces one count of soliciting a minor using a computer, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. This arrest is part of an ongoing, targeted effort by local authorities to combat child predators within the region.
As outlined in a police report, Anderson allegedly engaged in solicitation of what he believed to be a minor online and subsequently traveled to West Virginia with the intention of meeting the minor. Law enforcement, operating under the initiative codenamed “juice box,” apprehended Anderson upon his arrival.
Following his arrest, Anderson was arraigned in Jackson County and is currently held in custody with a set bond of $30,000.
