Subway, located on the corner of High and Orange Streets locked their doors and closed down the drive-thru at around 4 p.m.

Around 4 p.m. on Friday, the eatery encountered a plumbing problem of epic proportions after a customer’s visit to the men’s restroom took a turn for the worse. The unfortunate individual managed to create a subaqueous spectacle, clogging the toilet to the point of overflow.

In a sandwich saga, employees faced a footlong fiasco, leaving them in a pickle.

Swiftly responding to the soggy situation, quick-thinking employees deployed wet floor signs, but the fecal fiasco was too much to handle. Management, realizing the gravity of the situation, promptly closed shop, leaving behind a lingering aroma that was far from appetizing.

Witnesses reported a visible stream of wastewater making an unsavory appearance through the glass doors in the dining room. A sewage septic team was summoned to the scene, armed with hoses and large tools, working to clean the plumbing and restore order.

As the crew worked diligently in the parking lot, the store remained sealed, with employees confirming that the closure would endure until the mess was thoroughly cleaned up, with proper sanitizing, and the establishment could once again stand on solid footing.
