MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio — On February 4th, Meigs County Deputies were active in responding to various incidents:
- 02:34 AM: Responded to a complaint of juveniles throwing coins at vehicles on E. Main St in Pomeroy. Deputies patrolled the area with no contact with matching juveniles.
- 05:01 AM: Conducted a traffic stop on SR 7 in Pomeroy, issuing a verbal warning for speed.
- 08:58 AM: Handled a non-injury accident on Dead Mans Curve Rd in Pomeroy. The incident is under investigation after obtaining statements from the involved parties.
- 03:16 PM: Investigated a complaint of trespassing on Woodyard Rd in Albany, successfully resolving the situation after speaking with all parties involved.
- 03:47 PM: Attempted a warrant service on Bone Hollow Rd in Middleport with negative contact.
- 04:46 PM: Executed a warrant service on Hampton Hollow Rd in Langsville, arresting Kevin Jewell on outstanding warrants. Michael Oiler was also arrested for Possession of Drugs. Both were transported to the Gallia County Jail, with additional charges for Jewell related to driving violations.
- 06:26 PM: Conducted a traffic stop on W. Main St in Pomeroy, issuing a citation for an expired registration to driver Jody Smith.
- 08:21 PM: Assisted another agency with an unknown fire on SR 124 in Reedsville, securing the scene for the Olive Township Fire Department.
Additionally, Denny Gleason was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear during the day’s operations.
