COLUMBUS, Ohio — Legal woes continue for former Ohio State quarterback Art Schlichter as he faces a new drug charge.
On February 2nd, Schlichter was pulled over by an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper near East Hudson Street and Hamilton Avenue in Columbus.
According to court documents, Schlichter voluntarily surrendered a crack pipe to troopers. A subsequent search of the car reportedly led to the discovery of small white rocks believed to be crack cocaine.
This incident comes on the heels of Schlichter’s June 2022 arrest, where he was found unresponsive in a hotel room and later pleaded guilty to cocaine possession charges.
Schlichter has now been charged with fifth-degree felony possession of cocaine and is scheduled to appear in court.
