MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio — Meigs County deputies responded to a diverse range of 20 calls on Monday, February 12th, spanning from suspicious persons to traffic stops and arrests on warrants.

Assisting the Community:

  • Deputies investigated a fight complaint,conducted traffic stops issuing warnings and a citation, assisted the State Highway Patrol with a warrant arrest, and responded to a suspicious person call, successfully resolving each situation.
  • They aided another agency in a follow-up investigation after a motor vehicle crash,leading to the arrest of James Gray on a Meigs County warrant.
  • Deputies conducted follow-up investigations and took reports for theft in various locations.

Warrants and Arrests:

  • Timothy Tilley was arrested on a felony warrant for child support.
  • Cory Johnson was taken into custody on a warrant out of Meigs County during a traffic stop.
  • Natasha Knapp was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop.
  • Jeremy Basham and Keith Lamm were apprehended on outstanding Meigs County warrants during the same traffic stop.
  • An individual fled on foot during another traffic stop, prompting assistance from nearby police departments and drone support for an unsuccessful search.

Mental Health Support:

  • Deputies responded to a mental health call and transported a female to the Holzer Meigs ER.
