POMEROY, Ohio — Meigs County deputies were actively engaged in ensuring community safety on Tuesday, February 13th, responding to several calls across the county.
Morning:
- 7:04 AM: A non-injury accident on US 33 in Pomeroy required deputies to take statements and file a crash report.
- 7:07 AM: A suspicious vehicle parked on 3rd St in Syracuse prompted deputies to investigate. Upon arrival, they located the vehicle, spoke with the driver, and peacefully resolved the situation.
Afternoon:
- 3:09 PM: A traffic stop occurred on SR 7 near Union Ave in Pomeroy. The driver received a verbal warning for disobeying a stop sign.
Evening:
- 7:23 PM: During a traffic stop on SR 681 near Haning Rd in Pomeroy, the driver received a verbal warning for having vehicle defects.
- 7:49 PM: Another traffic stop on Wolfpen Rd in Pomeroy resulted in a verbal warning for the driver due to vehicle defects.
- 8:04 PM: Multiple vehicle defects led to a verbal warning for the driver stopped on Laurel St in Pomeroy.
- 10:55 PM: The final traffic stop of the night took place on Butternut Ave in Pomeroy,where the driver received a verbal warning for violating marked lane markings.
