CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Local development company Nier River Road Development, LLC owned by Jim Nier received a $50,000 grant from Fluor-BWXT (FBP) and the Joint Economic Development Initiative of Southern Ohio (JEDISO) to support the second phase of his River Road warehouse development in Ross County.

This investment will fuel the construction of a 100,000 square foot warehouse near the SR207/104 interchange, creating valuable space for businesses and contributing to local economic growth.

“We appreciate FBP’s support in providing more jobs and better access to services,” said Nier, owner of Nier River Road Development, LLC. “This grant will help us provide the space companies like Kenworth need and bring more business to the area.”

“This is exactly why we provide these grants,” explained FBP Community Commitment Chair Tim Poe. “We want these businesses to continue to grow and create additional jobs in the area.”

Tammy Eallonardo, Director of Greater Chillicothe and Ross County Development, emphasized the critical need for such facilities. “The addition of 100,000 square feet of warehouse space helps address our critical need to accommodate growth,” she said. “We appreciate Mr. Nier’s willingness to invest in our community.”
