CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Grand Jury has returned 18 indictments this week, three of which were for open cases, according to court records.

Among those indicted is Jeffrey Stewart, born on April 7, 1987, with a last known address at 310 East Hydel Rd. in Chillicothe, Ohio 45601. Stewart is facing charges of strangulation and domestic violence, with the offenses dating back to December 4, 2023. He was indicted on February 16, 2024, with the strangulation charge classified as a fourth-degree felony, and the domestic violence charges as first-degree misdemeanors.

Another individual indicted by the grand jury is Olivia L. Barker, born on June 20, 1991, with a last known address at 1261 Dolphin St. in Chillicothe, Ohio 45601. Barker faces charges of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, with the offenses occurring on January 3, 2024. The failure to comply charge is classified as a third-degree felony, while the OVI charges are both misdemeanors.

Additionally, Ladarius J. Harris, born on March 4, 1996, was indicted for having weapons while under disability. Harris, with a last known address in South Carolina, allegedly committed the offense on January 4, 2024. The charge is classified as a third-degree felony.
