CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Brad Long, the Utilities Director for Chillicothe, has unveiled plans for upcoming Sanitary Sewer Lining Work that will impact Marietta Road and surrounding areas. The project is slated to commence on Monday, February 19, at 6:00 AM and is scheduled to conclude on Thursday, February 22, at 6:00 PM.
Upon initiation, motorists should anticipate lane closures and traffic disruptions in several key locations:
- Marietta Road westbound lanes leading to Bridge Street, including the closure of the entrance to Frisch’s on the east side of the restaurant. However, both ingress and egress points to the north of the restaurant will remain accessible.
- The curb-side, right-hand turn lane heading northbound onto Bridge Street from Marietta Road.
- Closure of the Marietta Road stub-end adjacent to Applebee’s back entrance on the north side of the restaurant. Nonetheless, the southeast egress to Bridge Street will remain operational.
Long urges caution among drivers and advises them to remain vigilant for construction vehicles and workers. Additionally, motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes and utilize alternative entrances and exits to local businesses.
