CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Police are investigating an attempted home invasion that occurred at a residence in the 100 block of S. Paint St. on Tuesday.
According to a police report obtained by the Guardian, residents reported receiving an alert about motion detection from their security system shortly before 10:30 PM. They then checked the house and heard someone at the front door.
The police department stated that the residents saw a figure at the home’s breezeway. They pulled back the curtain and observed a male suspect attempting to force entry with a pry bar.
Unable to gain access, the suspect fled the scene.
The perpetrator is described as a white male in his mid-30s with a sunken face. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved gray shirt and carrying a pry bar.
Officers patrolled the area but were unable to locate anyone matching the description.
