CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Brandon Novak, a 35-year-old Chillicothe native and professional bowler, has been transferred to the Ross County jail from Indiana, following his arrest on February 1, 2024. He faces charges related to child pornography, according to police.
Investigation Initiated in 2023:
Novak’s legal troubles began in February 2023 when a complaint was filed with the Chillicothe Police Department alleging his Facebook account contained child pornography. The complaint, came from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Search Warrant Executed, Admission Obtained:
On February 21, 2023, a search warrant was authorized for Novak’s home, leading to the seizure of electronic devices. During questioning, Novak, police said, admitted to acquiring the videos through Snapchat and transferring them to a secondary Facebook account.
Current Status and Legal Proceedings:
Following his arrest by U.S. Marshals during a bowling tournament in Indianapolis, Novak was transferred to the Ross County jail. He faces charges of illegal use of a minor in material involving nudity and pandering sexually oriented content with a minor.
