CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Law enforcement in Ross County were involved in a high-speed chase late Monday evening.
According to preliminary reports, deputies and officers with the Chillicothe Police chased the suspect vehicle along Southern Avenue and South Bridge Street. During the chase, officials said, the driver intentionally drove into oncoming traffic.
The chase took a dangerous turn when the fleeing suspect took to the downtown city streets.
Law enforcement chased the vehicle in the area of 7th Street and South Hickory before the driver ditched their car on Knowles Avenue.
The driver was eventually taken into custody. Their name and the reason behind the chase have yet to be released by authorities.
