CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department dealt with multiple incidents on February 28, spanning from runaway juveniles to disorderly conduct and criminal activities.
At 2 Delaware Drive, authorities were called to handle a runaway juvenile, launching an ongoing investigation into the matter. Meanwhile, a traffic stop on E Water Street resulted in the initiation of a warrant, and another stop on E 7th Street was made for city speed violations.
Responding to a violation of a protection order or consent agreement at 544 E 2nd Street, officers continued their efforts to enforce legal boundaries. Simultaneously, Detective Fyffe received notification from Ross County Job and Family Services concerning a juvenile investigation, continuing to pursue leads in the case.
Instances of criminal trespass on Ewing Street and non-criminal incidents on S Paint Street, involving a child on a roof, kept officers busy as they conducted investigations.
An accident report on Western Avenue and a warrant execution related to a previous case were among the incidents resolved by law enforcement. However, threats complaints on N Plaza Boulevard prompted further investigation, and disorderly conduct cases, including an unconscious individual on N Bridge Street and behavioral emergencies on E 2nd Street, remained open.
A crash on Western Avenue, causing disruptions due to wires on the roadway, required police intervention, as did a neighbor dispute on Limestone Boulevard and a hit-and-run on Elm Street.
Reports of criminal mischief at 851 Washington Avenue added to the workload, alongside disorderly conduct incidents on Olive Street and Sherman Park, where officers responded to threats and an unconscious male.
The day’s operations concluded with a warrant served at Sherman Park.
