POMEROY, Ohio — On March 5th, Meigs County Deputies were dispatched to various incidents throughout the day.

At 12:14 AM, deputies responded to a call to assist Meigs County EMS with a deceased individual on Corn Hollow Rd in Rutland. Upon arrival, deputies secured the scene.

Later, at 7:14 AM, deputies were called to assist Meigs County EMS with a medical emergency on SR 7 in Coolville. Upon arrival, deputies secured the scene.

At 10:29 AM, there was a request for extra patrol on Bigley Ridge Rd in Long Bottom.

Around 12:44 PM, deputies investigated a complaint of items being dumped at a residence on Deeter Rd in Reedsville. Deputies arrived, checked the items, and determined they were not stolen. The situation was resolved.

At 1:09 PM, deputies assisted ODNR with attempting to locate a male subject on Pageville Rd in Pomeroy. However, there was no contact, and the incident is under investigation by ODNR.

At 4:33 PM, deputies investigated a complaint of yelling at a residence on 4th St in Racine. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the male involved and found that everything was okay.

At 5:49 PM, deputies assisted the Pomeroy Fire Department with a fallen tree on Forest Run Rd in Pomeroy, providing traffic control.

Later, at 8:55 PM, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Union Ave in Pomeroy. Upon arrival, deputies located the vehicle, spoke with the occupants, and found everything to be in order.

In addition, Johnathan Salser was taken into custody by deputies on a warrant out of Meigs County Court for failure to appear.
