MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio — The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office is intensifying its search for 21-year-old Jacob Cole Clevenger, who was last seen on White Oak Road in Pomeroy.
Clevenger, who stands 6 feet tall and weighs 130 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. He is distinguishable by his partially missing hair and severe facial scarring from a fire. He was last seen dressed in dark clothing and is believed to be armed with a .22 caliber rifle. Clevenger has been diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome.
Authorities have been patrolling the roadways and combing the woods in the area. The Sheriff’s Office drone unit and the State Highway Patrol’s aviation unit have been deployed, but the search has so far been unsuccessful. All leads and possible sightings are being followed up on.
Sheriff Scott Fitch has issued a special news release urging the public to share any information they might have. However, he warns the public not to approach Clevenger due to uncertainty about his intentions. Anyone who sees Clevenger or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact the dispatch at 740-992-6663.
