INDIAN LAKE, Ohio — As the sun rose over the Buckeye State, several communities were left reeling from last night’s severe weather. The Indian Lake region of Logan County was particularly hard hit, with authorities reporting at least two fatalities as a direct result of the storm.
A large tornado swept through the Indian Lake communities of Lakeview, Russells Point, and Orchard Island. According to local officials, an RV park was completely destroyed. In the aftermath of the deadly tornado, emergency first responders were faced with a mass casualty incident as dozens of people were injured in the violent storm.

The National Weather Service is expected to visit Indian Lake to assess the extent of the damage and determine the exact strength of the tornadoes. Other communities across north central Ohio also suffered severe damage.
At present, there have been at least six suspected tornado touchdowns. Countless residents across the affected communities could be without utility services for weeks as recovery efforts continue.
