WILMINGTON, Ohio — After days of persistent rainfall, the Scioto River is anticipated to reach its peak level this weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, the Scioto River is projected to crest at 16.79 feet in Chillicothe.
In Circleville, the river is forecasted to crest at 21.9 feet, posing a moderate flood risk to the area. Additionally, the river at Piketon is forecasted to crest at 21.6 feet by Sunday.
A River Flood Warning remains in effect until late this evening, urging residents to stay vigilant and take necessary safety precautions.
