ZANESVILLE, Ohio — Keyle D. Anderson, a 33-year-old woman from Zanesville, has pleaded guilty to charges of endangering children and failing to provide for a functionally impaired person, following disturbing revelations about her husband’s fatal drug overdose.
The incident, which occurred on January 1, 2021, came to light when police responded to a call from Anderson reporting her husband’s overdose and lack of breathing. Anderson claimed that she had been cleaning when her husband began vomiting, and after taking a nap, she discovered him unresponsive. Cory Anderson was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
However, further investigation uncovered troubling details about Anderson’s actions during the incident. Despite being a registered nurse, Anderson reportedly filmed her husband’s death. The footage purportedly showed her husband struggling to breathe, while one of their children pleaded with Anderson to call a doctor. Shockingly, Anderson allegedly refused the child’s request, as captured in the video.
The sentencing is scheduled for a later date.
