CHILLICOTHE, OHIO — The Chillicothe Police Department has released new details regarding the recent arrest of Jason Lytle, a man previously indicted for attempted murder.
Officers were dispatched to an apartment in the Chillicothe Metropolitan Housing Complex, Lincoln Park, following a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers encountered a woman and two children who were reportedly “screaming and acting erratic.”
The woman and children were safely removed from the apartment when officers heard a commotion from inside. Upon entering the apartment, officers found Jason Lytle; being familiar with him, they attempted to place Lytle into handcuffs. He reportedly resisted arrest and attempted to seize an officer’s taser.
After a struggle, Lytle was successfully taken into custody and escorted to a police cruiser. The officers involved in the altercation sustained only minor injuries.
Lytle is currently being held at the Ross County Jail. This incident marks another chapter in Lytle’s ongoing legal troubles, following his indictment for attempted murder. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
