CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the discovery of what appears to be possible human remains in a remote area of Ross County. The incident was reported late Saturday evening.
According to preliminary reports, deputies responded to a call near the intersection of Black Run Road and Baum Hill Road just before midnight. Two male individuals, who were out mushroom hunting, stumbled upon the remains and alerted authorities, the sheriff’s office said.
As of now, no further details have been released. The Guardian is actively working to gather additional information.
Investigators are determining whether the remains are indeed human and if they may be connected to any recent missing person cases in the region.
