DAYTON, Ohio — The 180th Fighter Wing will conduct an air defense exercise over Southern Ohio on Wednesday, April 24th, between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Residents in and around the Dayton area may see and hear fighter jets operating close to a Civil Air Patrol aircraft. The Civil Air Patrol aircraft will act as a Track of Interest (TOI), simulating a potential threat aircraft.
This exercise aims to evaluate response and coordination procedures for the 180th Fighter Wing. While scheduled for the morning, the exercise could be relocated, delayed, or canceled due to weather conditions.
