MCARTHUR, Ohio — A man was flown to a Columbus hospital following a stabbing in McArthur, on Sunday. Deputies with the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident at Wyman Park due to the absence of on-duty McArthur Police Officers.
The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Bradley Day of Circleville, fled the scene but was apprehended shortly after at a residence in Allensville. A knife believed to be the weapon used in the assault was recovered by deputies near Wyman Park.
Day has been transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail and faces charges of Felonious Assault and Tampering with Evidence. A bond hearing is expected to take place in Vinton County Court this week.
The case will be reviewed by the Vinton County Prosecuting Attorney.
