WILMINGTON, Ohio — Ohio is bracing for severe weather over the next 72 hours.
The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma, has forecasted that residents in the Buckeye State can expect showers and thunderstorms to develop mainly during the afternoon and evening hours.
For today, showers and a few thunderstorms are likely, primarily during the afternoon. However, nothing severe is expected today, with the main events predicted for Tuesday and Wednesday.
On Tuesday, severe weather could disrupt your evening commute. All hazards are possible, with the greatest risks being large hail and flooding.
The threat of severe weather continues into Wednesday, with much of the state under either a slight or enhanced risk of severe storms.
Residents across the state are advised to stay weather-aware this week. So far in 2024, Ohio has experienced an extremely active severe weather season.
