CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – Rose Medical, a local medical provider in Chillicothe, has temporarily closed, according to a social media post. The closure appears to be linked to the suspension of the clinic’s primary physician’s medical license.
Rufus Lowman Jr., a registered physician assistant, had his license suspended by the state medical board on May 8. The suspension includes a revocation of Lowman’s prescription writing privileges.
“We are temporarily closed due to significant circumstances beyond our control. We hope to be back soon,” the clinic stated in a social media post.
The details surrounding the suspension of Lowman’s license have not been released. The Guardian has reached out to the state medical board for answers.
Residents have expressed concerns regarding the clinic and alleged unethical practices.
This is a developing story.
