WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — Miami Trace Elementary School has been recognized for its achievements in literacy development. The school has been using the Read Live program for 12 years, a tool that has proven transformative in its literacy initiatives. This year, Miami Trace was honored as a runner-up in the Read Live School of the Year contest.
District Administrator Kylie Lanman shared, “Over the past decade, amidst the trials brought forth by the pandemic, we have continued to witness remarkable growth and progress among our students, thanks to Read Live. We wholeheartedly endorse Read Live and its potential to empower students across all school districts.”
The school, which serves approximately 2,500 learners, says it is committed to fostering a love for learning and ensuring every child reaches their fullest potential. Recognizing the critical role of reading fluency in academic success, Miami Trace Elementary School sought a solution that would not only enhance fluency but also inspire a passion for reading.
The Read Live program has been that solution. With the support of administrators and teachers, the program has been a transformative tool in the school’s literacy initiatives. As a testament to their success, Miami Trace Elementary School has been awarded a $500 Read Naturally Gift Certificate.
The school’s commitment to literacy and the effective use of the Read Live program serve as an inspiring model for other districts.
