COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Columbus man, Trevon Twyman, has entered a guilty plea on several charges related to sex crimes involving minors in Ross County. The charges include three counts of rape, three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, and two counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles. 

Twyman was indicted on March 24, 2023, facing a total of eight counts. Following a plea agreement, he is now facing a prison sentence of 17 to 26 ½ years. The sentencing is set for May 22, 2024, at 1 PM. 

Court documents reveal that Twyman engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with minors aged 14 and 15. Additionally, he is accused of sending explicit material to a 17-year-old.  

Currently, Twyman is being held in the Franklin County Jail on a $250,000 bond related to charges there. 

In a separate case, Twyman was also indicted last year in Columbus on two counts of kidnapping, two counts of domestic violence, and two counts of strangulation. This case remains pending in Franklin County.
