CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – A Chillicothe man initially charged with murder has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of 30-year-old Joseph Pollock.
The shooting occurred in July 2023 at 189 East 4th Street. Authorities say Cameron Crews arrived on a motorcycle, opened fire on Pollock, and then fled the scene. Pollock was later pronounced dead at Adena Regional Medical Center.
Exclusive video footage obtained by The Guardian captured the chilling incident. Following the shooting, law enforcement initiated a manhunt for a person of interest seen leaving the scene on a motorcycle. The Chillicothe Police Department, deputies, and troopers were involved in the extensive search.
Crews was apprehended and initially charged with murder. However, court documents reveal that he pleaded guilty this month to an amended charge of involuntary manslaughter. He has been sentenced to 8-12 years in prison.
