CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A Chillicothe woman says a man forcibly entered her home and violently assaulted her. The incident took place on Saturday evening along East Water Street.
Responding to a call at 80 1/2 East Water Street, officers spoke with the victim who alleged that 35-year-old Samuel Markese Turner had kicked in her front door and attacked her. The woman, who had just returned from the store, found her front door allegedly ajar and Turner inside her residence wielding a fire extinguisher. According to her account, Turner lunged at her and struck her multiple times with the extinguisher.
The woman told police she managed to escape and call 9-1-1. Following a brief search, officers located a man matching Turner’s description behind the Elks Lodge on Second Street.
Turner was apprehended and charged with aggravated burglary. A subsequent search revealed a loaded 9mm handgun in his possession, leading to additional charges of having a weapon under disability. The firearm was confiscated as evidence.
Turner remains in custody at the Ross County Jail.
