CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A routine traffic stop on S Paint St. escalated into a high-speed pursuit on June 9, resulting in the arrest of a man driving a stolen vehicle. Officers said in their report that while on patrol a gold Dodge car with Ohio registration KDR9654, was reported stolen out of Pickaway County.

The chase began when the suspect, later identified as Kody Kuhn, attempted to flee the scene, leading to a pursuit with speeds reaching 75-85 MPH along Route 772. The pursuit ended when Kuhn crashed into a tree and attempted to escape on foot before being apprehended by law enforcement.

Kuhn now faces multiple charges, including obstructing official business, resisting arrest, receiving stolen property, failure to comply with an order of a peace officer, and an outstanding warrant for child support from Pickaway County Sheriff’s office. He was also cited for traffic violations.

After receiving medical clearance from Adena Regional Medical Center for injuries sustained during the crash, Kuhn was booked into Ross County Jail. He remains in custody at the Ross County Jail.
