PIKE COUNTY, Ohio — The Pike County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Christopher Joseph Wittkugle on Monday, June 24th, 2024.
According to Sheriff Tracy Evans, Mr. Wittkugle is in custody at the Ross County Jail.
The arrest follows a series of reports from residents in the Buchanan area on Monday morning. A resident reported a man with facial tattoos attempting to enter their home around 6:15 am, claiming his car had been stolen. The resident contacted authorities after the man tried to look inside the residence.
Sheriff Evans confirmed there were multiple calls regarding a similar individual earlier that morning.
The details of the case have yet to be released by law enforcement officials.
