GALLIPOLIS, Ohio — Gallia County Prosecuting Attorney Jason D. Holdren announced the sentencing of eight individuals in the Gallia County Common Pleas Court.
James E. Phoenix, 48, of Vinton, was convicted of having weapons while under disability and complicity to discharging a firearm on or near a prohibited premises, both third-degree felonies. Phoenix received a 5-year prison sentence.
Rashae L. Williams, 31, of Dayton, was convicted of trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound in an amount equal to or greater than 20 grams but less than 50 grams (28.07 grams), a first-degree felony. Williams was sentenced to a mandatory minimum of 8 years and a maximum of 12 years in prison. After her release, she will be under the supervision of the Ohio Adult Parole Authority for 2 to 5 years.
Josh Baley, 23, of Crown City, was convicted of three counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, and two counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, all second-degree felonies. Baley was sentenced to a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 11 years in prison. Upon his release, he will be under the supervision of the Ohio Adult Parole Authority for 5 years and will be required to register as a Tier 3 sex offender.
Nathan E. Matthews, 39, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, was convicted of attempted receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony, and failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony. Matthews received a 30-month prison sentence.
Brian Petrie, 38, of Gallipolis, was convicted of felonious assault, a second-degree felony. Petrie was sentenced to a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 7.5 years in prison. After his release, he will be under the supervision of the Ohio Adult Parole Authority for at least 18 months.
Bradley A. Boggess, 34, of Gallipolis, was convicted of burglary, a second-degree felony. Boggess was sentenced to a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 7.5 years in prison. Upon his release, he will be under the supervision of the Ohio Adult Parole Authority for 18 months to 3 years.
Larry J. Gillenwater, 44, of Gallipolis, was convicted of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Gillenwater received a 6-month prison sentence. Additionally, he was sentenced to 701 days in prison for committing the offense while on post-release control.
Patrick S. Caldwell, 35, of Bidwell, was convicted of burglary, a second-degree felony. Caldwell was sentenced to a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 6 years in prison. Upon his release, he will be under the supervision of the Ohio Adult Parole Authority for 18 months to 3 years.
