CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — An incident involving gunfire early on July 6, 2024, at the Main Street Pub resulted in the arrest of a local man on multiple charges. According to the Circleville Police Department, Titus Dominique, 39, allegedly fired a shot into the ground during an altercation.
The incident occurred around 2:54 a.m. at 161 W Main St. Police were dispatched to the location following a complaint of shots fired. Dispatchers informed responding officers that a black male, later identified as Dominique, had discharged a firearm and fled the scene.
Witnesses at the scene reported that the altercation began after Dominique was allegedly called a racial slur by another man. Dominique then retrieved a handgun from his car, allegedly pointed it at the man, and fired a shot into the ground, causing panic among bystanders.
Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the search. Dominique was later found and detained by OSP Troopers. He reportedly admitted to firing the gun during an interview with the officers.
A search of Dominique’s vehicle yielded a Smith & Wesson Model 625-8 revolver containing five live rounds and one spent casing. The firearm and ammunition were collected as evidence.
Dominique was charged with discharge of a firearm on or near prohibited premises and inducing panic. He was transported to the Pickaway County Jail without incident. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities reviewing surveillance footage from nearby businesses.
The Circleville Police Department has confirmed that no injuries were reported during the incident.
