ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A Ross County woman called 911, alleging that her neighbors were “poisoning” her trees, according to local authorities.
Deputies responded to a residence on Glenn Drive after the caller claimed that her neighbors had poisoned the groundwater, causing her tree to drop its acorns prematurely. The woman also alleged that the neighbors had been throwing tree trimmings into her yard.
The deputies’ report stated that they believe the premature acorn drop was due to recent storms with high winds. The woman, however, informed deputies that she would be contacting the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regarding the issue.
