CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — A Circleville man has been charged with murder following a deadly shooting that took place on Tuesday, August 13.
According to preliminary police reports, the incident occurred around 5 p.m. near the area of Corwin and Pickaway Streets. Emergency responders, including medics and police, were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, authorities found one person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to OhioHealth Berger Hospital, where, according to unconfirmed reports, they later succumbed to their injuries. The Circleville Police Department has not yet released the victim’s name.
Police have arrested 41-year-old Jaison Mclean in connection with the shooting. Mclean has been charged with murder and felonious assault and is currently being held at the Pickaway County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to be released by the Circleville Police Department.
